Pro Shop Tidbit
Off the seventh tee, Joe sliced his shot deep into a wooded ravine. He took his eight iron and clambered down the embankment in search of his lost ball.
After many long minutes of hacking at the underbrush, he spotted something glistening in the leaves. As he drew nearer, he discovered that it was an eight iron in the hands of a skeleton!
Joe immediately called out to his friend, "Jack, I've got trouble down here!"
"What's the matter?" Jack asked from the edge of the ravine.
"Bring me my wedge," Joe shouted. "You can't get out of here with an eight iron.

Shawano Lake Golf Course (nick-named "Shalagoco" or simply the Shal) was established in 1922 and is one of Wisconsin's oldest courses. The Shalagoco is a public course that features 18-holes; 6231 yards spread over 120 acres of rolling, tree-lined fairways with small manicured greens. The course rating is 68.6 (63.6 gold tees) with a slope of 123 (111 gold tees). It represents a true mix of beauty and challenge for your golfing pleasure. The facility also contains an 8 tee driving range, a putting green and a bunker practice area.
The Shalagoco has a full bar and restaurant with banquet facilities making the Shalagoco the perfect spot to host family outings, reunions, bachelor or bachelorette parties, weddings and work or social gatherings.
